A perm is the ultimate technique to get the permanent hair curls, though the permanent hair curls may damage your hair. So, you should always ensure that perm needs to be performed by a professional. Since it is necessary to get the perm on regular basis to maintain your curls, even then a perm might not be that much harmful for your hair in a long run. You should ensure that you condition your hair well before and after a perm.
There are also few other methods to get the variety of curls and waves on your head. Do not attempt anything silly on your hair, unless you are well sure of the method. Always take a help of a professional if you want to learn some new technique to get newer styles of curly hair.
