-frabrics used ( velvets, silks etc)
-decorations( lace, beading etc.)
Illustrating might be better for this type of detail work as them 50’s dresses I really loved. Everything was tailored so fine it was if the very construction of the dresses and suits were built by an artist who took every single part of a woman’s body into consideration from the art of the hat right down to the art of the shoop shoop shoop, shoobeedoo aiyiyi. And there was a different piece cut to frame and flatter or bind or simply naturally flow for each and everyone one of them parts. Ow haha but I also can’t help that I have a thing for the zootsuit too with them big old flying saucer sized hats that made it hard to walk down the streets without someone getting poked in the aiyiyi ahaha.
Mighty fine workmanship back in the daze. Especially when the fabric be of shiney purple sharkskin cut so fine and fly, it look like the man be more like swimming down the street as he glide in them funky baggybuttnotellis that no matter how baggy them double pleated layers be at either side of the waist, well some things ya just can’t hide. Holy Macarena!
